The Midnight Pool Pyramid
Lily loved her backyard pool more than anything. But tonight, something magical was happening.
The moonlight danced across the water, making it sparkle like diamonds. Lily, unable to sleep, tiptoed outside in her pajamas. That's when she noticed it—the water was glowing!
Suddenly, she heard giggling. Tiny blue sprites popped up from the surface, their translucent wings shimmering.
"Help us!" cried the smallest sprite. "Our crystal pyramid has fallen!"
"Pyramid?" Lily asked.
"In our world beneath the pool!" the sprite explained. "A storm knocked it over. We need someone brave to help rebuild it!"
Without thinking, Lily jumped in—but she didn't sink. Instead, she floated through the water as if it were air, swimming deeper and deeper until she reached a magical underwater kingdom.
There, in the center of a glowing plaza, lay a beautiful crystal pyramid, toppled on its side.
"The magic stones only work when friends work together," the sprites explained.
Lily started running around the fallen pyramid, and as she ran, the stones began to float! "Faster!" the sprites cheered. "Keep running!"
She ran and ran until her legs tingled. With each lap, the pyramid lifted higher, the crystals humming with rainbow light.
"Believe!" the sprites chanted. "Believe in magic! Believe in friendship!"
Lily believed with all her heart. The pyramid snapped into place, blazing with brilliant light that spread through the whole underwater kingdom.
"You did it!" the sprites cheered, handing her a tiny crystal pyramid on a silver chain. "So you'll always remember—magic lives in kindness and friendship."
Lily woke up in her bed the next morning, the crystal pyramid warm against her chest. Had it been a dream? She smiled, knowing some magic is real, especially when shared with friends.
Now, every night before bed, she touches her crystal pyramid and whispers, "Thank you, friends."
