The Midnight Pool Game
Lily loved the moon. Every night, she'd press her nose against her window glass, watching the silver light dance on the garden pool below.
One warm summer night, something magical happened. The pool began to glow—not like a light bulb, but like liquid moonlight. Lily tiptoed downstairs in her bare feet, heart thumping with adventure.
What she saw made her gasp.
From the darkness, a great bear emerged—but not the scary kind. His fur was made of stardust, his eyes held ancient wisdom, and he moved with gentle grace. He was followed by a magnificent bull whose horns curled like the crescent moon, his coat shimmering like midnight silk.
"We're late for the midnight game!" the bear rumbled softly.
"The stars are waiting!" the bull nodded.
They carried something curious—magical paddles made of polished moonlight, strung with constellation webs. Padel! The most wonderful game in the sky!
"Can I play?" Lily whispered before she could stop herself.
The bear and bull turned. Instead of being startled, they smiled.
"Only if you believe in magic," said the bear.
"Always!" Lily cried.
The bull tossed her a paddle woven from comet trails. It was perfect in her hands. Together they played padel by the glowing pool, the ball made of pure starlight, each hit sending sprinkles of magic across the garden.
They played until dawn approached. The bear hugged Lily gently. "Thank you for playing with us. Return whenever the moon calls your name."
"And bring your imagination!" added the bull with a wink.
As they dissolved back into the constellations above—Ursa Major and Taurus—Lily realized something wonderful: the most magical adventures happen when you're brave enough to say hello.
That night, Lily fell asleep knowing the sky wasn't just full of stars. It was full of friends, waiting for the next midnight game by the pool.
