The Midnight Garden Spy
Lily was the best kind of spy — a curious one. Every night, she tiptoed through her house with her trusty iphone flashlight, discovering secrets in the shadows.
One moonlit night, she spotted something moving in the garden. A big fuzzy bear! But this was no ordinary bear. He wore a little red vest and carried a basket of star-shaped cookies.
"Hello, little spy," the bear rumbled gently. "I'm Barnaby, and I need your help."
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk?"
"Only to special spies," Barnaby winked. "My friend Zombiely needs cheering up."
Lily gasped. "A zombie?! Is he scary?"
Barnaby laughed, a warm honey sound. "Oh, goodness no! Zombiely is a stuffed rabbit who's lost his stuffing. He feels floppy and sad."
Lily's heart melted. She grabbed her favorite fluffy pillow and some cotton from her craft box. Together, she and Barnaby snuck to the old oak tree where Zombiely the floppy rabbit waited.
With careful fingers, Lily refilled Zombiely until he was plump again. She stitched him up with rainbow thread.
"Thank you, Spy Friend," Zombiely whispered, his button eyes twinkling.
Barnaby handed Lily a glowing star cookie. "For the kindest spy in the world."
That night, Lily learned the best spies don't just discover secrets — they spread kindness in the dark.
