The Midnight Bull's Secret

Lily and Max loved their backyard adventures. One summer evening, as fireflies flickered like tiny lanterns, they were running through the tall grass, playing their favorite game of Space Explorers.

"I see something!" Max whispered, pointing toward the old oak tree.

There, standing in the moonlight, was the most magnificent creature they had ever seen. It was a bull, but not like the ones in books. Its fur shimmered like silver starlight, and its horns glowed with soft rainbow colors.

The children hid behind the garden shed, peering out. The magical bull lowered its head and touched its nose to a patch of dirt. Suddenly, the ground began to ripple and sparkle, turning into a pool of crystal-clear water.

"It's magic!" Lily breathed.

To their surprise, the bull stepped into the water and began swimming—as gracefully as a fish! The water didn't splash. Instead, it rippled with colors like a living rainbow.

Max's zombie toy, which he'd brought outside earlier, suddenly stood up. But instead of being scary, it started dancing and waving its arms in the most silly way imaginable. The magical bull let out a happy snort that sounded like bubbles.

"He's not scary at all!" Max laughed. "He's fun!"

Lily took a brave step forward. "Hello?"

The bull swam to the edge of the magical pool and nodded. Its eyes were kind and filled with ancient wisdom. The children realized this was no ordinary creature—it was a guardian of childhood dreams.

"Want to play?" Max asked, holding up his toy.

The bull's eyes twinkled. The pool of water suddenly filled with floating flowers that smelled like cotton candy and sunshine. The zombie toy did a happy little dance.

They spent the whole night swimming in the magical pool, running across meadows that appeared out of nowhere, and playing with the friendliest bull in the universe. The zombie toy became their mascot, always ready to make them laugh.

When morning came, the bull vanished, but left behind something wonderful: the ability to see magic everywhere. Lily and Max learned that sometimes, the scariest-looking things can be the most wonderful, and true friends come in all shapes and sizes—even magical bulls and dancing toys.

And every summer evening, they look for fireflies and rainbows, knowing that magic is real, especially when you believe.
