The Midnight Baseball Game

bullbaseballrunningbear

Leo loved **baseball** more than anything. Every night, he tucked his favorite glove under his pillow and dreamed of hitting home runs under the stars.

One warm summer evening, Leo heard a strange *thwack* coming from the meadow behind his house. He crept outside in his pajamas and couldn't believe his eyes.

In the moonlit field, animals were playing **baseball**! A big brown **bear** stood at home plate, holding a bat made from a sturdy oak branch. In the pitcher's mound was a massive black **bull**, tossing perfect strikes with his spotted nose.

"Want to join?" called the bear, his voice deep and friendly. "We're **running** short on players tonight."

Leo's heart raced with excitement. He grabbed a stray ball and rushed to second base just as a rabbit hit a high fly ball toward him. Leo caught it gracefully, his feet **running** through the soft grass.

"You're a natural!" cheered the bull, his eyes twinkling like fireflies. "Play with us every night, and we'll teach you the secret of the Star Pitch."

From that night on, Leo returned to the magical meadow. He learned that even though the bull looked fierce and the bear seemed scary, they were the kindest friends he'd ever known. They taught him that true friends don't judge by appearances — they judge by heart.

And every morning, Leo woke up with his baseball glove still under his pillow, but now he knew the best games happened when the moon was watching.

For in that enchanted field, a boy, a bull, and a bear learned that friendship is the greatest home run of all.
