The Magician's Pyramid Hat

Lily was seven years old and loved exploring her grandmother's dusty attic. One rainy Saturday, while rummaging through old boxes, she found something extraordinary—a tall, purple hat with silver stars embroidered all around it.

"Try it on, dear," Grandma said from the doorway, her eyes twinkling.

Lily placed the hat on her head. WHOOSH! The attic spun around her like a tornado of colors. When the world stopped spinning, Lily gasped. She was standing in a golden desert under a bright blue sky, and right in front of her rose a magnificent pyramid made of sparkling orange crystals.

"Welcome, young traveler!" A tiny cheetah with golden spots appeared beside her. "I'm Zuri, guardian of the Pyramid of Wishes. This hat you found—" she pointed at Lily's head "—belongs to the Great Magician. He lost it fifty years ago!"

Lily's eyes widened. "You mean... this is magic?"

"The most powerful kind!" Zuri purred. "Inside the pyramid lives an orange that grants one true wish to anyone pure of heart. But the pyramid only opens for those who believe in magic."

Lily took a deep breath. "I believe!"

The crystal pyramid began to glow. Its orange facets lit up like a thousand tiny suns. Slowly, a door appeared in its side. Inside sat a single orange on a velvet pillow.

"Make your wish," Zuri whispered.

Lily thought carefully. She could wish for endless candy, or a pony, or to fly like a superhero. But then she thought of her grandmother, who missed her adventures when she was young. She thought of Zuri, who guarded this lonely pyramid all alone.

"I wish," Lily said softly, "that everyone who visits here finds a friend to share magic with."

The orange burst into golden light that swirled around them. Zuri cheered and did a happy dance. The hat sparkled brighter than ever.

"Perfect!" Zuri exclaimed. "Now the pyramid will always be a place of friendship!"

WHOOSH! Lily was back in the attic, the hat still on her head. Grandma was smiling, as if she knew exactly where Lily had been.

"Did you find something wonderful, my dear?"

"Yes, Grandma," Lily hugged her tight. "Magic is real, and the best kind is magic you share."
