The Magical Pyramid Path
Lily was playing games on her iPhone when something strange happened. The screen flickered with golden light, and suddenly a glowing pyramid appeared on the display. It wasn't like any app she had ever seen before.
"What's this?" Lily whispered, tapping the glowing shape with her finger.
WHOOSH! Her room spun around her like a colorful tornado. When everything stopped spinning, Lily wasn't in her bedroom anymore. She stood on warm, golden sand beneath a brilliant blue sky. Before her rose a magnificent pyramid that sparkled like thousands of diamonds in the sunlight.
"Who goes there?" a deep voice rumbled.
Lily turned slowly and gasped. Standing before her was a magnificent bull, but not like any bull she had seen in books. This bull had fur that gleamed like polished copper, and his eyes held the wisdom of a thousand years.
"I'm Lily," she squeaked. "I found a pyramid on my iPhone, and then... well... here I am!"
The bull's copper eyes softened. "I am Barak, guardian of the Pyramid of Wishes. Many have searched for this magical place, but only those with pure hearts can find it. You must be special, little one."
Lily's heart swelled with wonder. "A pyramid that grants wishes?"
"Not wishes for yourself," Barak explained kindly. "Wishes that help others. That is the true magic."
Together they climbed the pyramid's golden steps. At the top, Lily looked into a sparkling pool of water. "What do you see?" Barak asked.
Lily saw her friend Max at school, sitting alone because other children didn't understand his wheelchair. "I wish Max could have friends who see how funny and smart he is," she said sincerely.
The water glowed rainbow colors, and warm tingles flowed through Lily's body.
"Your wish has been granted," Barak said proudly. "Tomorrow, Max will find new friends because you opened your heart."
As Lily tapped her iPhone, she WHOOSHED back to her room. The pyramid icon was gone, but somehow she knew the magic was real.
The next day at school, Lily sat with Max at lunch. Soon other children joined them, laughing at his jokes and marveling at his dinosaur knowledge. Max beamed with happiness.
Lily touched her pocket where her iPhone lay. Some magic, she realized, doesn't come from apps or screens. The real magic is kindness and friendship, and that's the greatest adventure of all.
