The Magical Pyramid Game Day
Lily and Max loved exploring the woods behind their house. One sunny afternoon, while running through the tall grass, Lily spotted something strange—a shimmering golden pyramid peeking out from behind an ancient oak tree!
"Look!" she whispered, grabbing Max's hand. "A real pyramid!"
As they crept closer, they heard a strange *thwack-thwack-thwack* sound. Curious, they peeked around the pyramid and gasped. Three green-skinned children were hitting a small ball with wooden paddles, playing padel against the pyramid's sloping wall!
"Zombies!" Max hissed, pulling Lily back. "Everyone says they're scary!"
But then one of the zombie kids noticed them. She had purple flowers braided into her green hair and the friendliest smile Lily had ever seen.
"Want to play?" the zombie girl called out. "I'm Zara! This is my brother Zed and our friend Zola. We're not scary—we're magical!"
Lily stepped forward bravely. "I'm Lily, and this is Max. What game is that?"
"It's zombie padel!" Zara laughed. "But we can play regular baseball if you'd like. We have a magical ball that never breaks windows!"
Max's eyes lit up. Baseball was his favorite sport! Soon, all five children were playing the most wonderful game ever. The magical ball zoomed and sparkled through the air. When Max hit a home run, rainbow confetti burst from it!
"That's AMAZING!" Max cheered.
Zola smiled shyly. "We just wanted friends. Everyone runs away because of how we look."
Lily's heart squeezed. "They don't know what they're missing. You guys are the best!"
"Never judge someone by their outside," Zed added softly. "It's what's inside that counts."
They played until sunset, when the pyramid began to glow.
"We have to go," Zara said, hugging her new friends. "But come back tomorrow? Our pyramid has room for more friends!"
Lily and Max ran home, their hearts full of joy. They couldn't wait to tell everyone that the so-called "scary zombies" were actually the kindest, most magical friends they'd ever made.
Sometimes, the best adventures start when you're brave enough to say hello instead of running away.
