The Magical Padel's Promise

Lily lived in a house with a lonely backyard, but she had the biggest imagination in the whole world. Every day after school, she'd peek through the fence at the shimmering blue pool next door. She'd never seen anyone swim in it, even on the hottest summer days.

Lily's eyes grew wide. "You can talk?"

"Of course!" Padel did a happy spin in the air. "And I've been waiting for someone with imagination like yours. That pool isn't just water—it's magic!"

That afternoon, Padel showed Lily the secret. The pool next door wasn't ordinary. When someone made a wish while dipping their toes in the water, the pool would create a magical adventure just for them.

"But I can't go in someone else's pool," Lily said sadly.

"That's the best part!" Padel laughed. "The magic works through friendship. You need to bring a friend."

Lily's heart sank. She didn't have any friends at her new school yet.

Padel landed gently on her shoulder. "Making friends starts with being one. Why not invite the new girl from school tomorrow? Her name is Mia, and she loves magic too."

The next day, Lily shyly asked Mia to come see something special. When Mia's eyes lit up at the sight of Padel and the magical pool, Lily knew they would be the best of friends.
