The Magical Padel Court

Lily and Sam loved summer. Every morning, they ran to the old **padel** court behind the park to practice their serves. But this particular morning felt different. The air crackled with something magical.

Whiskers, the neighborhood tabby **cat**, bounded ahead of them. But instead of chasing butterflies like usual, Whiskers stopped at the edge of the nearby lake and meowed urgently. The children followed—and gasped. The water shimmered with an unusual glow.

"We should go **swimming**!" Lily cried, kicking off her sandals.

"Wait!" Sam warned. "Look at the sky!"

Purple clouds swirled overhead. Suddenly, a bolt of **lightning** struck the lake—but instead of scary thunder, a beautiful melody filled the air. From the glowing water emerged not a monster, but a sad, green creature with ragged clothes.

"Are you... a **zombie**?" Lily asked bravely.

The creature nodded. "I'm Zelly. I've been trapped underwater for a hundred years because I was too afraid to try new things."

Sam had an idea. "We're playing padel! It's our first summer tournament, and we're scared too. Want to learn with us?"

Zelly's eyes lit up. For hours, they played together—Zelly turned out to be amazing at padel! The lightning had given him magical powers. Whiskers the cat cheered from the sidelines, purring happily.

"You faced your fear," Zelly said, handing them each a small glowing stone from the lake. "Now I can finally move on."

With another beautiful flash of lightning, Zelly disappeared, leaving behind only sparkles and laughter.

That day, Lily and Sam won their tournament—but more importantly, they learned that courage isn't about not being scared. It's about being scared and trying anyway. And sometimes, the scariest things turn out to be the best friends.

Every summer after that, when lightning crossed the sky, they smiled, remembering their magical friend who taught them to be brave.
