The Magical Hat's Happy Zombie

Lily found the hat on her way home from school. It was purple with gold stars that actually twinkled! When she put it on, she heard a tiny voice say, "I can help you make friends!"

That's when she saw him—a zombie named Zeb. But Zeb wasn't scary at all. He was green and fuzzy, with bright orange hair and the biggest smile Lily had ever seen. He was sitting on a park bench, looking lonely.

"Nobody wants to play with me," Zeb sniffled. "They think zombies are scary."

Lily's hat glowed warmly. She knew just what to do. "I'll play with you! What do you like to do?"

Zeb's eyes lit up. "I love running! Want to race?"

They spent the whole afternoon running through the park, playing tag, and laughing so hard that other children came to see what was so fun. Soon, everyone wanted to play with Zeb too.

The magical hat had taught Lily an important lesson: sometimes the things that seem different or scary are actually the most wonderful friends of all. And that day, Zeb the zombie found a whole community of friends who loved him just the way he was—green skin, orange hair, and all!
