The Magical Green Garden

Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he'd grab his favorite glove and run to the park, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run. But there was one problem—Leo was the smallest kid on his team, and he could never hit the ball quite far enough.

One afternoon, feeling sad after another game where he'd struck out, Leo wandered into his grandmother's garden. She was the best friend anyone could ask for, always kind and full of surprises. Today, she was watering her special spinach plants.

"Little Leo," she said with a twinkling smile, "these aren't ordinary spinach leaves. They're magical—they give you the courage to believe in yourself."

Leo laughed. "Spinach can't be magical, Grandma!"

"Try one," she winked, "and see what happens tomorrow."

That night, Leo dreamed of flying through the air like a baseball. The next morning, he woke up feeling different—stronger, braver. At the game, when he stepped up to the plate, something amazing happened. He didn't just hit the ball; he swung with all his heart, and the ball soared higher and farther than ever before, all the way over the fence!

His teammates cheered, but Leo knew the real magic wasn't in the spinach at all. It was in believing in himself.

"You know," Grandma said later that day, squeezing his shoulder, "sometimes we need a little help to see the courage that was inside us all along."

From that day on, Leo wasn't just a better baseball player. He was a better friend to everyone on his team, encouraging them when they felt small or scared. And sometimes, when he needed extra courage, he'd still visit Grandma's magical garden—just to remember that the real power comes from your heart.
