Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard garden. Every afternoon after school, she'd wander through the rows of vegetables and flowers, imagining magical creatures hiding among the leaves.

Lily jumped! Behind the largest papaya tree stood a figure with green-tinged skin and slightly crooked teeth. He looked like what storybooks called a zombie, but his eyes sparkled with kindness.

"I'm Zephyr," he said, bowing politely. "I've been the guardian of this magical garden for three hundred years."

Lily's fear vanished. "You're not scary!"

Zephyr chuckled, the sound like dry leaves dancing. "The world called me zombie once, but really, I'm just a garden keeper who learned that patience and love make everything grow."

He showed Lily the enchanted watering can that sparkled with diamond-like droplets. "This water holds magic from the morning dew of every summer solstice. It keeps our papayas special."

Zephyr picked a perfect papaya and sliced it open. Inside, the fruit glowed golden like tiny stars. "Each papaya holds a special vitamin—the vitamin of kindness. Whoever eats it will feel happy and spread joy for three whole days."

Lily took a bite. It tasted like sunshine and dreams! Warmth filled her heart, and suddenly she couldn't wait to share slices with everyone she met—her grumpy neighbor, her tired teacher, even the school bully who just needed a friend.

"The real magic," Zephyr whispered, "is that sharing kindness multiplies it. Now you're a guardian too."
