The Magical Game of Starlight

Lily loved playing padel with her grandpa in their backyard. The racquet made a satisfying *thwack* every time she hit the ball over the net. But today was different—today was the night of the Golden Comet, and Grandpa promised her something magical.

"Watch the water, Lily," he whispered, pointing to the old stone fountain in the corner of the garden.

The fountain began to glow. Suddenly, a tiny goldfish with sparkling silver scales leaped from the water and spoke in a voice like tinkling bells! "I'm Finn! The comet has awakened the magic! Will you play the Starlight Game?"

Lily nodded, her heart pounding with excitement. Finn told her to hit her padel ball toward the constellation Taurus—the bull in the sky. She swung her racquet, and *whoosh!* The ball transformed into golden stardust and soared into the heavens.

"Now comes the fun part!" Finn swished through the air. "You must face the Zombie Guardian of the Lost Stars!"

Lily trembled. A zombie? That sounded scary! But as the stardust formed a shape, she gasped. It wasn't a scary zombie at all—it was a glowing, friendly figure made of twinkling lights and forgotten dreams!

"I'm Zara," the zombie guardian said softly. "For a hundred years, children have been too afraid to play with me. But you're brave, Lily."

Zara taught Lily that appearances can be deceiving. What seems scary might just be lonely. They played catch with stars, and Zara gave Lily a special blessing—whenever she felt afraid, she could remember that even the most frightening things might just need a friend.

The bull constellation lowered its horns like a slide, and Lily slid down into her own backyard, landing softly on the grass. Finn splashed back into the fountain, promising to return whenever she needed a magical adventure.

Grandpa hugged her. "The Starlight Game has been played in our family for generations. Tonight, you became its newest champion."

Lily smiled, clutching a tiny glowing stone Zara had given her. She learned that courage isn't about not being scared—it's about being kind and curious even when you are. And sometimes, the most magical adventures begin with something as simple as a game of padel under the stars.
