The Magical Backyard Pyramid
Lily, Max, and Zoe loved their backyard clubhouse. But today, something magical shimmered in the sunlight. A stack of old wooden boxes had transformed into a mysterious golden pyramid!
"I bet there's treasure inside!" said Max, grabbing his favorite baseball bat for protection. "We'll be explorers like in the movies."
Lily laughed and pulled out her padel racket from tennis camp. "I'll go first. I can hit anything that jumps out!"
The three friends crept closer. The pyramid glowed with sparkly light. Suddenly, a friendly voice called out, "Hello there!"
A tiny creature shuffled out—greenish with wild hair and a big smile. "I'm Zimby the backyard zombie! I'm not scary at all. I just love to play!"
"You're... a zombie?" asked Zoe, surprised. "But you seem so nice!"
Zimby nodded. "The pyramid brought me here because I heard you were the friendliest kids in the neighborhood. I've been so lonely in my magical world."
Lily smiled. "Well, you're not lonely anymore! Want to play with us?"
"That's why I came!" Zimby cheered. "What should we play?"
Max held up his baseball. "We could teach you baseball! It's the best game ever."
"Or padel!" said Lily, waving her racket. "It's like tennis but even more fun."
Zimby's eyes sparkled. "Can we learn BOTH? In my world, we never play games together. Everyone stays in their own castles."
The four friends played until sunset. Zimby wasn't very good at sports, but he was the best at making everyone laugh. When it was time to go home, the tiny zombie hugged each friend.
"Thank you for being my friends," Zimby said. "I learned something today—games are better when you play together."
The golden pyramid faded away, but the friends knew something magical would always be in their backyard now. Because the best adventures aren't about finding treasure—they're about making friends who teach you that sharing, kindness, and laughter are the greatest magic of all.
