The Magical Backyard Pyramid

Lily and Max were playing padel in their backyard when their dog Buster started barking at the old oak tree. Their cat Whiskers hissed, her fur standing straight up.

"What is it, Buster?" Lily asked, dropping her padel racket.

The children gasped. A glowing golden pyramid had appeared right under the oak tree! It shimmered with sparkles of purple and green.

"The portal has been opened," they heard. To their surprise, a zombie stepped out! But this zombie wasn't scary at all. He wore colorful clothes and held a padel racket.

"I'm Zed," the zombie said cheerfully. "I've been trapped in that magical pyramid for 100 years. Will you play padel with me?"

Buster wagged his tail and Whiskers rubbed against Zed's leg. The animals knew he was friendly.

Lily and Max looked at each other and smiled. "Yes!"

They played the most wonderful game of padel ever. Zed was funny and kind, and the magical pyramid made rainbow balls appear every time someone scored.

When the sun began to set, Zed sighed. "The pyramid will take me back soon. But I'll never forget your friendship."

"Visit us!" Max said.

Zed's face lit up. "Every full moon, the pyramid will return! And we'll play padel again!"

As the golden pyramid vanished with a sparkle, Lily whispered, "Mom was right. Sometimes the scariest-looking people can be the best friends."

Max nodded. "And sometimes the most magical adventures happen right in your own backyard."

That night, Buster and Whiskers dreamed of padel games with their new friend Zed, waiting for the next full moon when the magical pyramid would return.
