The Magic Window
Lily found something strange in her grandma's attic - an old iphone with a cracked screen and rainbow stickers. Grandma called it her "magic window," but Lily knew iphones were just for games and calls. Or so she thought.
That night, moonlight spilled onto the iphone as Lily touched its screen. Instead of apps, she saw swirling colors like a galaxy of stars. A tiny golden fish swam through the screen, blowing bubbles that turned into sparkles.
"Hello!" said the goldfish, popping out of the screen like a 3D hologram. "I'm Finn! Want to see my world?"
Lily nodded, her eyes wide.
Finn grew bigger and bigger until he became a shimmering fish-shaped portal. Lily stepped through - and fell onto soft, spongy grass in a meadow she'd never seen before. Everything glowed with magical light.
"Welcome!" boomed a deep voice.
A magnificent bull with golden horns and a coat like sunset clouds approached gently. Despite his size, he had the kindest eyes Lily had ever seen.
"I'm Barnaby," said the bull. "Finn sends me special visitors. Are you ready for an adventure?"
Lily climbed onto Barnaby's broad back, clutching his golden horns. They soared through candy-colored skies, over mountains made of jellybeans and rivers of lemonade.
"Why did Finn bring me here?" Lily asked.
Barnaby smiled. "Because you have something special - imagination! In our world, imagination makes magic real. And we need your help."
The Evil Gloom had been stealing colors from the Magical Kingdom, turning everything gray. Only a child's pure imagination could restore the rainbow.
Lily closed her eyes and imagined the most colorful things - blueberry skies, emerald forests, ruby-red flowers. Sparkles flowed from her hands, painting the gray kingdom in brilliant hues.
"Thank you, Lily!" cheered Finn, who had swum through the air beside them.
When Lily returned home, the old iphone looked ordinary again. But now she knew the truth - some windows show more than what's on the screen. The real magic had been inside her all along.
That night, Lily dreamed of golden bulls and wise fish, knowing friendship and imagination were the greatest magic of all.
