The Magic Window

Lily discovered the old iPhone buried in her grandmother's attic. It didn't work anymore, but Grandma smiled and said, "Ah, this isn't just any phone, sweetheart. This is a Magic Window."

Lily pressed her finger against the dark screen, and suddenly it shimmered like moonlight on water. A tiny goldfish swam across the glass, leaving trails of silver bubbles. "Follow me!" it bubbled, and Lily felt herself being pulled—not into the phone, but through it.

She tumbled into a world where trees grew upside down from a sky of cotton candy. Her dog, Buster, who had been sleeping on the attic rug, landed beside her, now twice his size and wearing a tiny golden crown. "Princess Lily!" he barked. "The Papaya Pyramid needs our help!"

The Papaya Pyramid rose in the distance—a magnificent orange pyramid made entirely of giant papayas, glowing like sunset. But something was wrong. The papayas were losing their glow, turning gray and dull.

A tiny goldfish king appeared in a bubble of water. "The Wonder Thief has stolen our joy," he said sadly. "Without joy, the magic fruit fades."

Lily knew just what to do. She pulled Buster close and thought of everything that made her happy: Grandma's hugs, Buster's wet nose kisses, starry nights, and finding secret treasures. The goldfish king sprinkled his magic water, and suddenly—POOF!

The Papaya Pyramid blazed brighter than ever, sending beams of golden light across the land. The Wonder Thief—a small, lonely cloud—dissolved into rainbows. "I only wanted some wonder too," it whispered.

Lily took a glowing papaya slice and handed it to the cloud. "Wonder grows when it's shared," she said.

Back in the attic, Lily hugged Buster. The iPhone screen sparkled one last time. "True magic," Grandma said, "is the joy you carry in your heart."

And somewhere, in a world beyond the Magic Window, a cloud finally knew what it felt like to wonder.
