The Magic Vitamin Splash
Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, he'd grab his favorite baseball—the one with the rainbow stripe—and run to the park. But there was one problem. The best baseball diamond stood right beside the swimming pool, where all the kids splashed and laughed while Leo sat alone on the bench.
Leo couldn't swim. Every time he tried, the water felt too deep, too scary, too big for his small arms and legs.
One hot summer afternoon, Leo hit his baseball so hard it soared over the fence and landed with a splash in the pool. The baseball bobbed on the surface, glistening like a tiny ruby in the sunlight.
Leo held his breath and reached for his baseball. But when his fingers brushed the water, something magical happened. A single droplet leaped from the surface and landed in his palm, glowing with a soft golden light.
It was shaped like a tiny heart, warm and pulsing with energy.
Mia, his best friend who had been watching, gasped. "That's a magic vitamin!" she whispered. "The water spirits give them to brave hearts who face their fears."
Leo felt the tiny vitamin dissolve into his skin, spreading warmth through his whole body. Suddenly, his legs felt stronger. His arms felt powerful. The water that had once seemed scary now looked inviting, like a giant blue playground waiting for him to explore.
"What should I do?" Leo asked.
"Trust yourself," Mia said.
Leo took a deep breath and slid into the pool. The magic vitamin coursed through him, giving him courage he never knew he had. His arms moved in perfect rhythm. His legs kicked with strength. He wasn't just swimming—he was flying underwater, gliding like a fish.
For the first time in his life, Leo wasn't afraid.
By summer's end, Leo could swim faster than anyone. But he learned something even more important: the magic vitamin hadn't given him swimming powers. It had given him belief in himself. And that was the real magic all along.
Now whenever he sees his rainbow-stripe baseball, Leo remembers that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is jump into the deep end and discover how strong we really are.
