The Magic Vitamin Pool
Lily was the smallest girl in her class, and she hated it. The other kids could reach the highest shelf. She could barely reach her desk.
One rainy afternoon, while searching her grandmother's attic for treasure, Lily found a tiny, glowing bottle. Inside sat a single purple vitamin that shimmered like stars.
"Take me," whispered the vitamin, and Lily nearly dropped the bottle. Vitamins didn't talk!
"Who are you?" Lily asked, her eyes wide.
"I'm a Magic Vitamin," it replied. "I help you see what's really there."
Grandmother's cat, Whiskers, had been following Lily. Now the cat spoke too: "The vitamin tells the truth. It showed me the hidden pool years ago."
Lily's heart raced. A talking cat? A talking vitamin? She carefully swallowed the vitamin.
Suddenly, the attic walls shimmered and vanished. Lily stood at the edge of a crystal pool she'd never seen before. It glowed with the same purple light as the vitamin.
"The Friendship Pool," Whiskers said, padding beside her. "Only those who take the Magic Vitamin can find it."
In the center of the pool sat a sad-looking boy about Lily's age. He was small like her.
"I'm Oliver," the boy said. "I've been waiting for someone to find me. I took the Magic Vitamin too, but I had no friend to share the pool with."
Lily realized something important. Being small wasn't so bad when you found the right people.
"Will you be my friend?" Lily asked.
Oliver's face lit up. "Yes!"
They splashed and played in the magical pool for hours. The water never made them cold. The pool revealed secrets—floating lanterns, singing fish, rainbow bubbles.
When it was time to leave, the vitamin's magic faded. But Lily and Oliver remained best friends. They visited the secret pool every weekend, always bringing a new friend who needed magic.
Lily learned something wonderful that day: The right vitamin, the right pool, and the right friend could turn any disadvantage into the greatest adventure.
