The Magic Vitamin Pool
Lily loved spending summer days at her grandmother's house. But this summer felt different. Grandma's mysterious garden had a hidden corner she'd never noticed before.
Behind the tall sunflowers stood a shimmering blue pool. But it wasn't an ordinary swimming pool — the water sparkled with tiny rainbow bubbles!
"What is this place?" Lily whispered.
A small green frog hopped onto a lily padel floating near the edge. The frog wore a tiny golden crown.
"This is the Vitamin Pool," the frog said in a squeaky voice. "Every dip makes you stronger, braver, and kinder."
Lily's iPhone buzzed in her pocket. Mom was calling, but something told her this was too important to miss.
"How does it work?" Lily asked.
The frog pointed to a patch of vibrant green spinach leaves growing nearby. "First, you must eat three leaves of courage spinach. Then make a wish and jump in!"
Lily wrinkled her nose. Spinach? But she wanted to be brave like the explorers in her storybooks. She plucked three leaves and chewed. They tasted like sunshine and strawberries!
She closed her eyes and made her wish: "I wish I could help my little brother Tom stop being afraid of the dark."
SPLASH!
The warm water tingled like tiny hugs all over her skin. When Lily emerged, she noticed something glowing in her hand — a small golden vitamin that pulsed with gentle light.
"Take this home," the frog said. "Put it under Tom's pillow. It will glow as bright as his courage."
That night, Lily tucked the vitamin under her brother's pillow. Tom's room filled with soft golden light, and for the first time, he slept without a nightlight.
"The dark isn't scary anymore," Tom smiled. "It's full of stars."
Lily realized the real magic wasn't in the pool or the vitamin. It was in wanting to help someone else. That's the strongest power of all.
The next morning, the mysterious pool was gone. But Lily didn't mind. She had found something better — the courage to be kind.
