The Magic Vitamin Mystery
Lily loved walking her golden dog Sunny along the beach. One afternoon, Sunny started digging excitedly beneath a swaying palm tree.
"What did you find, boy?" Lily knelt in the sand. There, glinting in the sunlight, was an old iPhone. Strange—it looked brand new, not rusted at all from the salty sea air.
When Lily pressed the screen, it lit up with a glowing message: Welcome to the Friendship Vitamin App!
"Friendship vitamin?" Lily whispered. But before she could wonder more, a tiny blue sparkle fluttered out from the phone like a butterfly.
"Follow me!" the sparkle seemed to chime.
Sunny barked happily, and they followed the sparkling light along the water's edge. The sparkle led them to three different places: first to a patch of colorful seashells, then to a tide pool filled with tiny fish, and finally to an old woman sitting alone on a bench.
At each stop, the sparkle would glow brighter and collect something invisible. At the seashells, it gathered laughter. At the tide pool, it collected wonder. And from the kind old woman, it gathered wisdom.
By sunset, the sparkle returned to the iPhone, which now displayed: VITAMIN COMPLETE!
Suddenly, the phone showed a map. All along the beach, people were finding little glowing packets—each containing a special dose of kindness, courage, and happiness. The old woman on the bench suddenly smiled as children ran to talk to her. A lonely boy playing by himself found friends. Even grumpy Mr. Henderson from the grocery store started waving at everyone.
"Friendship vitamins," Lily breathed, understanding. "We didn't need magic—we just needed to share what we already had."
Sunny licked her hand as if agreeing. The iPhone faded away like morning mist, but everywhere they looked, people were smiling, talking, and making new friends.
That night, Lily realized the real magic wasn't in any phone or vitamin. The magic was in taking time to notice people, in Sunny's happy bark, in the way the palm tree waved hello in the breeze, and in the endless friendship just waiting to be shared.
The best vitamin of all, she learned, was simply being a friend.
