The Magic Vitamin Dog

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. On rainy Saturdays, she'd climb the creaky stairs and discover treasures from long ago. But nothing prepared her for what she found behind an old trunk.

A small golden dog with fur that shimmered like sunshine trotted toward her. His tail wagged so hard it made tiny rainbows in the dusty air.

"Hello there!" the dog said. "I'm Buster, and I've been waiting for a friend like you."

Lily's eyes went wide. "You can talk?"

"I can do much more than that!" Buster tapped his paw. "I'm a Magic Vitamin Dog. See, I carry special vitamins that make wishes come true — but only for kind hearts."

He showed her his palm, where a small glow appeared. Inside sat tiny colorful crystals that twinkled like stars.

"What's the bull for?" Lily asked, pointing to a wooden carving on the shelf.

"Oh, that's Ferdinand," Buster whispered. "He was once a grumpy bull who scared everyone. But someone used a courage vitamin on him, and now he guards kind dreams. Want to see?"

Buster placed a glowing blue vitamin on the bull's nose. Suddenly, the wooden bull's eyes opened. He smiled and stretched.

"Thank you for waking me," Ferdinand rumbled gently. "I was having such a lovely dream about flowers and friendship."

Lily gasped. "This is amazing!"

"There's one rule," Buster said seriously. "These vitamins only work when you use them to help others. Selfish wishes turn into bubbles and pop away."

Lily thought about her neighbor Timmy, who couldn't play outside because he was sick. She remembered how lonely he looked through his window.

"Can I use a vitamin to help Timmy feel better?"

Buster's tail made a double rainbow. "That's exactly the kind of wish that works!"

Lily placed a warm orange vitamin on her palm, made her wish, and blew it toward Timmy's house. The vitamin floated like a tiny sun and disappeared through his window.

The next day, Timmy was outside playing, healthier than ever. He waved at Lily with the biggest smile.

That's when Lily learned the most important lesson: magic vitamins weren't about making things appear — they were about spreading kindness. And the best vitamin of all? Friendship.

Every Saturday after that, Lily and Buster found new ways to help people. Because real magic, she discovered, was simply love in action.
