The Magic Vitamin Adventure
Lily hated vitamins. Every morning, her mom placed a tiny orange tablet beside her cereal bowl. "It'll make you strong," Mom would say.
One rainy Tuesday, Lily noticed something strange. The vitamin wasn't orange anymore—it sparkled like a tiny sunset! When she picked it up, it glowed warmer and warmer until—POOF!
The kitchen dissolved into swirls of rainbow light. When Lily opened her eyes, she stood in a meadow filled with flowers that hummed soft melodies.
"You're finally here!" boomed a deep but gentle voice. A massive bull with a coat like storm clouds and horns that shimmered like moonbeams trotted toward her. "I'm Barnaby. We've been waiting."
"Waiting for what?" Lily asked, her eyes wide.
"For someone who needs to learn what true strength means," said a soft voice from behind her. A bear with fur like autumn leaves and kind amber eyes peered around an ancient oak tree. "I'm Bella. Welcome to the Land of Heart-Courage."
Barnaby lowered his massive head. "Many think being strong means being big and scary. But that's not true at all."
Bella nodded. "True strength comes from courage, kindness, and standing up for others—even when you're afraid."
Lily thought about the bullies at school who picked on smaller kids. "I'm not very brave," she admitted.
"That's why you're here," Barnaby said wisely. "The magic vitamin didn't make you strong. It just opened your eyes to the strength you already had inside."
Suddenly, a tiny fairy with torn wings stumbled into the meadow, crying. Three bigger fairies were chasing her!
Lily's heart raced. She wanted to run, but Barnaby and Bella were watching. She stepped forward. "Leave her alone!" she shouted, surprised at her own voice.
The bullies paused, then flew away giggling.
Lily helped the little fairy to her feet. Bella and Barnaby exchanged proud looks.
"See?" the bear whispered. "You're stronger than you know."
The world began to spin again. Lily found herself back at the kitchen table. The orange vitamin sat beside her bowl, looking ordinary again.
But something felt different. Lily swallowed the vitamin, grabbed her backpack, and marched out the door. She couldn't wait to get to school.
Today, she'd be brave.
And maybe, just maybe, true strength had been inside her all along.
