The Magic Vitamin Adventure

Leo sat on the edge of his bed, staring at the baseball glove on his shelf. Tomorrow was the big game, and his stomach felt like it was doing somersaults. What if he dropped the ball? What if he struck out?

That's when his best friend Maya climbed through the window, her backpack jingling with mysterious sounds. "Leo! I found something amazing at my grandma's house!"

Maya pulled out a tiny glowing bottle filled with sparkling liquid. "It's a magic vitamin," she whispered. "My grandma said it gives you exactly what you need - but only if you believe."

Leo's eyes widened. "Really?"

Maya nodded solemnly. "One drop before the game, and you'll be amazing. But you have to promise - the magic only works if you're a good friend to someone else that day."

The next morning, Leo took one tiny drop. The playground buzzed with excitement as teams warmed up. But then he noticed new girl Sarah sitting alone on the bench, looking scared.

Leo remembered Maya's words about being a good friend. He sat beside Sarah. "Want to play catch? I can show you how to grip the ball."

Sarah's face lit up. They practiced until the game began. When it was Leo's turn at bat, his hands didn't shake. He hit the ball so far it sailed over the fence! His team cheered.

That night, Maya climbed back through the window. "How was the magic vitamin?"

Leo grinned. "Amazing! But I think the real magic wasn't the vitamin at all."

"What do you mean?"

"Helping Sarah felt even better than hitting that home run," Leo said. "And I wasn't nervous because I was too busy being her friend."

Maya smiled slyly. "You figured out the secret. The vitamin was just grape juice."

Leo laughed. "Then the real magic was friendship all along."
