The Magic Tennis Court
Lily was practicing padel in her backyard when something extraordinary happened. Her tennis ball rolled near the old oak tree and disappeared right into the ground!
"Did you see that?" she whispered.
Mittens, her fluffy orange cat, purred and pawed at the spot. Suddenly, the ground began to glow, and a sparkling cable made of rainbow light emerged from the earth.
"Who dares wake the sleeping court?" boomed a tiny voice.
Buster, the neighbor's friendly dog, trotted over with his tail wagging. He barked happily at the glowing cable.
"I'm Lily!" she said bravely. "I love padel!"
The rainbow cable curled around Mittens the cat, lifting her gently into the air. Mittens didn't seem scared at all—she purred like a motorboat!
"Then you shall play in the Magic Padel Tournament!" the voice announced.
In a flash of sparkles, Lily found herself on a floating tennis court made of clouds. On the other side stood a creature made entirely of tennis balls!
"I'm Bouncey," it squeaked. "Let's play!"
Lily served the ball. With every hit, the ball changed color—red, blue, purple, green! Mittens chased after them, leaping through the air like a rainbow. Buster cheered from the sidelines, barking encouragement.
But Bouncey was winning. Lily's heart sank. She looked at her friends—the determined cat, the loyal dog, the magical cable that had brought them here.
"Wait!" Lily realized. "I'm not playing alone!"
She whispered to Mittens and Buster. Together, they formed the perfect team. Mittens distracted Bouncey with her fluffy tail. Buster howled to confuse the ball creature. And Lily—Lily focused all her courage into one final swing.
WHAM! The ball turned golden and sailed past Bouncey!
"You win!" the tiny voice cheered. The rainbow cable wrapped around all three friends, and they floated back to Lily's backyard.
That night, as Lily fell asleep, she learned something important: even the hardest games become fun when you play with friends.
And somewhere underground, the magic padel court waited for its next adventure.
