The Magic Sky Vitamin

Lily loved swimming more than anything in the world. Every summer day, she'd splash in the ocean, pretending she was a mermaid exploring coral kingdoms. But today, the beach was empty. Gray clouds hung low like sleepy giants.

"Take this," Grandma said, pressing something into Lily's hand. It was a vitamin, but not like the ones from the store. This one glowed soft purple, like captured starlight. "It's a magic vitamin," Grandma whispered. "For days when adventure seems far away."

Lily popped it in her mouth—and suddenly, she wasn't standing on sand anymore. She was swimming! But not in water. She was swimming through the air, floating like a dandelion seed, soaring higher and higher until the gray clouds became a fluffy floor beneath her feet.

That's when she saw him: a little boy made entirely of clouds, with drooping eyes and slow, clumsy movements. A cloud zombie!

"Hello?" Lily called, swimming closer.

The cloud zombie looked up sadly. "I forgot how to play," he mumbled. "Storm clouds made me all heavy and slow. Now I just shuffle around, forgetting everything fun."

Lily's heart squeezed tight. "Maybe you just need a friend to remind you!"

She took his puffy hand and showed him how to skip-hop across the sky. They played tag with shooting stars. They raced gentle breezes. The more they played, the brighter the cloud zombie became. His droopy eyes perked up. His slow shuffle turned into bouncy steps.

"I'm NOT a zombie anymore!" he cheered, spinning like a top. "I'm ZAPPY the Cloud Spirit! And you're my best friend!"

Grandma's magic vitamin had faded, but something remained—a warm, glowing feeling in Lily's chest. Sometimes the best adventures don't come from magic pills. They come from kindness, from helping someone remember how to shine.

As Lily swam back down to the beach, Zappy promised to visit her dreams. And sometimes, on cloudy days, Lily still sees him—no longer a sad zombie, but a dancing spirit, painting rainbows across the sky.
