The Magic Screen Door

Lily pressed her nose against the fish bowl, watching Goldie glide through the water like an underwater ballerina. The tiny goldfish swirled her shimmering tail, flashing colors of sunset and honey.

"I wish you could talk to me," Lily whispered.

That's when she noticed something strange. Her old iPhone, sitting on the desk nearby, began to glow with a soft blue light. The screen rippled like water, even though it wasn't supposed to do that.

Suddenly, Whiskers—her orange tabby cat—jumped onto the desk and meowed loudly. But this wasn't a regular meow. To Lily's surprise, she could understand him!

"Lily! The phone! It's a magic door!" Whiskers said, his green eyes wide with wonder.

Lily's heart fluttered like a butterfly. She touched the glowing screen, and suddenly, she wasn't in her room anymore. She was floating in a sparkling underwater kingdom, and Goldie was swimming beside her—now the size of a dolphin!

"You found the Ocean of Dreams!" Goldie said, her voice like silver bells. "Only special friends can visit here."

The three friends explored coral castles and danced with sea turtles. But soon, Goldie grew sad. "My friend Ollie the octopus is trapped in a cave of darkness. He needs light to escape."

Lily looked around desperately. That's when she spotted it—a perfect orange floating in the water. It glowed with magical warmth.

"The sun-orange!" Goldie cried. "It has the power of a thousand sunbeams!"

Lily grabbed the glowing orange and swam toward the dark cave. She held it high, and its light burst forth like a captured sunrise. Ollie the octopus was free!

As thanks, Ollie gave Lily a pearl that shimmered with all the colors of friendship. Suddenly, Lily was back in her room, Whiskers purring beside her and Goldie swimming contentedly in her bowl.

The iPhone stopped glowing, looking ordinary again. But Lily knew better. Sometimes, the most magical doors are the ones we never expected to open.

That night, Lily fell asleep with a smile, knowing that with true friends and a big imagination, even a small goldfish's world could be as big as the ocean itself.
