The Magic Pyramid Wish

Mia and Leo were best friends who loved summer days. Their favorite place was the backyard pool, where a tiny orange goldfish named Splash lived in a glass bowl on the patio table.

One hot afternoon, Mia giggled. "What if Splash is magical?"

"Goldfish can't be magic," Leo said, but his eyes twinkled.

Just then, Splash swam to the bowl's edge and blew the tiniest bubble. It floated up and popped—*ping!*—sending a little spark of blue light dancing across the patio.

The children gasped.

"Build me a pyramid," said a tiny voice. It came from Splash! "A pyramid of pool toys. Then make your wish."

Mia and Leo scrambled to work. They stacked colorful pool noodles, foam floats, and rubber rings into a tall, wobbly pyramid beside the pool. It swayed in the warm breeze, shining in the sunlight like a treasure from ancient times.

Suddenly, storm clouds gathered. Thunder rumbled like a giant's tummy. *Flash!* Lightning streaked across the sky, purple and silver and brilliant.

"Hurry!" Splash's voice squeaked. "The lightning makes the magic work! Make your wish together!"

Mia and Leo held hands and closed their eyes. "We wish..." they said together, "we wish every kid could have a best friend to share summer adventures with!"

*CRACK!* The lightning struck the pyramid of pool toys. For a moment, everything glowed golden.

When the children opened their eyes, the pyramid was gone. But Splash was now swimming in a beautiful castle inside his bowl, with tiny toy fish friends.

"Your wish is granted," Splash bubbled happily. "Friendship is the strongest magic of all."

From that day on, Mia and Leo made sure to invite every neighborhood kid to swim in their pool. They learned that sharing adventures made them twice as fun—and that magic could be found in the most unexpected places, like a small goldfish with a big heart.

Every time lightning flashed during summer storms, Mia and Leo would smile at each other, remembering the day they built a magic pyramid and discovered that the best wishes are the ones you make together.
