The Magic Pyramid's Surprise Friend
Lily loved exploring the museum with her dad. She skipped ahead to the Egyptian exhibit, her favorite part. There stood a gleaming golden pyramid, ancient and mysterious. As she leaned closer to peek inside, her iPhone slipped from her pocket and landed right beside the pyramid.
Suddenly, the pyramid began to glow! A swirl of purple sparkles filled the air. Lily gasped as a green figure stepped out from her iPhone screen — it was Zombie Z, from her favorite game! But he didn't look scary at all. He had friendly eyes, a goofy smile, and wore a bright red bow tie.
"Hello there!" Zombie Z waved. "I've been waiting inside your phone for someone to find the magic pyramid. It's the only thing that can bring game characters to life!"
Lily's eyes widened with wonder. "You can talk? And you're not scary?"
"Scary? No way!" Zombie Z chuckled. "In Zombie Village, we just love dancing and eating brain-shaped cupcakes. Want to see my favorite move?" He did a silly wiggly dance that made Lily giggle.
The museum was about to close, but Zombie Z had an idea. "The pyramid's magic only lasts until sunset! Let's have an adventure before I go back."
They spent the afternoon playing hide-and-seek among the dinosaur bones, sharing stories, and becoming the best of friends. Zombie Z taught Lily the secret zombie handshake (it involved lots of wiggling), and Lily showed him how to take selfies.
"Why were you stuck in my phone?" Lily asked as the sun began to set.
"Game characters need friends too," Zombie Z said softly. "The pyramid chose you because you have the kindest heart. Never forget that real friends can be found anywhere, even in unexpected places."
As the last golden rays of sunlight disappeared, Zombie Z faded back into the iPhone screen. Lily waved goodbye, her heart full. She tucked her phone into her pocket, knowing her new friend was just a game away — and that sometimes, the most magical friendships come from the most surprising moments.
That night, Lily dreamed of pyramids, dancing zombies, and the wonderful truth that adventure waits around every corner for those who believe in magic and friendship.
