The Magic Pyramid of Moonlight Beach
Leo loved running along Moonlight Beach, where the sand sparkled like tiny diamonds beneath his bare feet. Every evening, just before sunset, he would race the waves as they rolled toward the shore, laughing as the cool water tickled his toes.
One particularly magical afternoon, Leo built an enormous sand pyramid. He shaped it carefully, packing the wet sand until it rose tall and proud against the orange sky. But this wasn't just any sand castle — Leo had discovered something special. When he placed his hand against the pyramid's smooth side, it began to glow softly, like a captured star.
"What are you doing?" called a voice behind him.
Leo turned to see Maya, the new girl who had moved into the pink house down the beach. She stood near an old palm tree, its leaves swaying gently in the breeze.
"Look!" Leo said, pointing at his pyramid. "It's magic."
Maya approached carefully, her eyes wide with wonder. Together, they watched as the pyramid's light grew brighter, and suddenly, tiny golden butterflies fluttered from its tip, dancing around them in swirling patterns.
"They're granting us a wish," Maya whispered, holding out her hand. A butterfly landed gently on her palm, its wings shimmering like sunshine.
Leo closed his eyes tight. "I wish we could be best friends forever."
Maya smiled, her palm still glowing where the butterfly had touched her. "I wish that too."
The pyramid's light slowly faded, but the magic remained. From that day on, Leo and Maya were inseparable. Every sunset, they would run together along the shore, building magic pyramids and collecting golden memories beneath the palm trees — proving that the best magic of all is the friendship we share with others.
