The Magic Portal Phone
Lily found the shiny black iPhone in her grandmother's attic, tucked inside an old wooden box with brass corners. It looked ordinary, but when she touched the screen, it glowed with rainbow colors!
"Grandma, what's this?" Lily called, but the phone suddenly hummed and sparkled. Tiny silver letters floated in the air: NEED HELP. LONELY. STUCK.
Lily pressed the screen. A friendly face appeared—not a person, but a chubby little zombie with green skin, purple stripes, and the biggest, kindest eyes. He wore a polka-dot bow tie!
"Hello!" the zombie waved. "I'm Zomby! I'm not scary—I'm magical! I guard the Dream World, but my sparkly cable broke. Now I can't travel between worlds to help children have sweet dreams!"
The cable wasn't regular wire. It shimmered like moonlight and hummed with soft music. Zomby explained that each strand represented happy thoughts, good dreams, and friendship magic.
"I can help fix it!" Lily said. She remembered her grandmother's saying: KINDNESS IS THE STRONGEST MAGIC.
Together, they wove the cable's strands back together. Lily added her own laughter, Zomby added his happy dance, and the cable glowed brighter than ever!
"Thank you, Lily!" Zomby cheered. "Now children everywhere will have wonderful dreams again! And guess what? Whenever you see your iPhone sparkle, that means I'm visiting your dreams!"
That night, Lily's phone glowed softly. In her dreams, she and Zomby had the most amazing adventures, flying on rainbows and painting stars. And every child who slept peacefully that night had Zomby to thank.
Lily learned that even things that seem strange or different—like a friendly zombie—can be the best friends. And kindness? It's the most powerful magic of all.
