The Magic Pool Surprise
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially the backyard with the old palm tree that swayed in the warm breeze. Its long leaves whispered secrets when the wind blew.
One hot afternoon, Lily noticed something strange behind the palm tree. A small, shimmering pool had appeared, glowing with a soft blue light. The water sparkled like tiny stars.
"Hello?" she called, leaning closer. A purple fin popped up!
"Greetings!" said a tiny fish with rainbow scales. "I'm Finn, the magic pool keeper. But I'm so hungry."
Lily wanted to help her new friend. She ran to the garden and grabbed some bright green spinach leaves from Grandma's vegetable patch. Maybe the little fish would like them.
"Here!" she offered.
Finn took a small bite and—POOF!—the spinach transformed into magical green bubbles that floated upward, each one carrying a beautiful melody.
"The spinach gives me magic power!" Finn explained happily. "Now I can grant you one wish."
Lily thought carefully. She could wish for toys or candy, but she looked at the lonely palm tree standing alone in the corner of the yard.
"I wish for a friend for this palm tree," she said.
Finn swam in a happy circle. The pool glowed brighter, and suddenly, a beautiful flower bush sprouted beside the palm tree. They would keep each other company forever.
"Thank you, Lily!" Finn said. "You chose kindness over selfishness. That's the strongest magic of all."
As the sun set, the pool faded away, but the palm tree and its new friend remained. Lily learned that day that the best wishes are the ones that help others.
Every time she visited, she would wave at the palm tree and remember her magical friend Finn and the important lesson about kindness.
