The Magic Pool Surprise
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's garden, especially the hidden path behind the old oak tree. One sunny afternoon, she discovered something magical—a shimmering blue pool she'd never seen before.
The water sparkled like diamonds, and strange glowing flowers grew around its edges. Lily knelt down and peered at her reflection. But instead of her own face, she saw a friendly green zombie smiling back at her!
"Hello there!" the zombie waved. "I'm Zara, and I'm the guardian of this magic pool. Are you brave enough to solve my riddle?"
Lily nodded. She wasn't scared at all—Zara looked friendly, with wild purple hair decorated with flowers.
"Wonderful!" Zara cheered. "First, you must find the gentle bull who lives in the meadow. He loves poetry and soft music."
Lily ran to the meadow and found a massive bull with golden horns. To her surprise, he was listening to a butterfly sing. The bull let Lily pet his velvety nose and even shared his favorite spinach sandwiches with her.
"Delicious!" Lily exclaimed. The bull gave her a shiny spinach leaf as a gift.
"Now for your final challenge," Zara said when Lily returned. "You must give the spinach leaf to someone who needs courage more than you do."
Lily thought hard about her little brother, who was afraid of the dark. That night, she placed the magical spinach leaf under his pillow. The next morning, he wasn't afraid anymore—he said he'd dreamt of being as brave as a bull!
"You solved the riddle perfectly!" Zara cheered, throwing confetti made of flower petals. "True magic isn't about being powerful—it's about helping others find their own courage."
Lily waved goodbye to her new friend, knowing the magic pool would always be there whenever she needed wisdom or adventure. And sometimes, she still left spinach gifts for her brother—just in case he needed a little extra bravery.
