The Magic Pool's Secret Friend

Leo was running through the backyard, his bare feet tapping against the warm grass. He was looking for his favorite swimming goggles before summer ended. Behind the old oak tree, he spotted something strange — a shimmering blue pool he'd never seen before.

The water sparkled like tiny diamonds, and in the center floated a mysterious glowing cable. Leo's iphone slipped from his pocket and plunked right into the water! But instead of sinking, it floated.

Suddenly, bubbles rose to the surface. Out climbed a green figure with messy hair and big, friendly eyes. It looked like a zombie from video games, but this one wore a bright smile.

"Hello!" said the creature. "I'm Zara!"

Leo stepped back, then noticed Zara was holding his phone. "You're not scary."

Zara laughed. "Of course not! I'm the guardian of this magic pool. I've been so lonely here." She pointed to the glowing cable. "This cable connects our worlds, but nobody ever comes by."

Leo realized something important. Zara wasn't a monster — she was just a friend who hadn't been found yet.

"Will you play with me?" Zara asked.

Leo smiled. "Every day!"

All afternoon, they splashed and played. When it was time to leave, Zara handed Leo a special blue stone. "Touch this when you want to visit. The pool will always be here."

That night, Leo learned the best lesson: sometimes the things that seem scary are just friends we haven't met yet. And the best adventures start when you're brave enough to say hello.
