The Magic Pool's Secret Friend

Lily loved visiting Grandma's house, especially the backyard pool. But one hot afternoon, something magical happened. While exploring the garden, she found something strange — an old iPhone lying on a stone near the pool's edge.

The iPhone sparkled with rainbow colors, unlike any phone she'd ever seen. When Lily touched it, the screen showed glowing ripples, just like the pool. Curious, she dipped her toes into the cool water. Suddenly, the ripples grew bigger and bigger until they formed a picture — a friendly bear face smiling at her!

"Hello there!" the bear said, popping up from behind a magical water lily. "I'm Benny! Would you like to play?"

Lily's eyes widened with wonder. Benny wasn't scary at all — he was fluffy and brown, wearing a tiny blue bow tie. But there was something sad about his smile.

"What's wrong, Benny?" Lily asked.

The bear sighed. "All the other bears swim and play together, but I sink like a stone. I've never learned to swim."

Lily looked at the magical iPhone in her hand. It showed swimming lessons, step by step. "I can teach you, Benny! My grandma taught me last summer."

Every day that week, Lily returned to the magic pool. She showed Benny how to paddle his paws, how to hold his breath, and how to float on his back like a big fluffy boat. The magical iPhone cheered them on, displaying happy stars and encouraging words.

By Friday, Benny was swimming! He splashed and dove, doing happy bear somersaults underwater. Other magical creatures appeared — turtles, frogs, even a dancing dragonfly — all celebrating Benny's success.

"Thank you, Lily!" Benny hugged her gently. "You're the best friend ever!"

Lily realized something important. The magical iPhone had brought them together, but friendship was real magic. She had found something better than any game or app — a true friend.

As summer ended, Lily promised to visit Benny every year. And she did, for the magic pool and her bear friend would be friends forever, swimming side by side.
