The Magic Pool's Secret

Lily loved summer days, especially when she could splash in her backyard pool. But today was different. As she dove into the cool water, her iPhone slipped from her pocket and sank to the bottom.

When she reached for it, the water began to glow. Suddenly, she wasn't in her pool anymore—she was floating in a magical oasis!

A golden sphinx with kind amber eyes appeared from the mist. "Young one," it rumbled gently, "you have discovered the portal between worlds. But to return home, you must answer my riddle."

Lily's knees trembled, but then she felt something soft brush against her leg. Her cat, Whiskers, had followed her through the portal! The sphinx smiled.

"Ah, a loyal companion. Now listen carefully: I have flowing hair that never grows, I see without eyes, and I guard what matters most. What am I?"

With a splash, Lily was back in her pool, clutching her iPhone. Whiskers sat on the edge, looking very pleased with himself.
