The Magic Pool's Secret

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's attic. One rainy afternoon, she discovered something peculiar hidden behind old boxes—a thick metal cable that disappeared through a tiny hole in the ceiling.

"What's this?" she whispered, giving it a gentle tug.

To her surprise, the cable began to move, pulling upward as if something on the other end was lifting it. Lily's heart raced with excitement. She grabbed hold with both hands.

"Whoa!" The cable lifted her right off the floor, carrying her through the hole and into a secret room above.

The room was filled with golden light. In its center stood a crystal pyramid, shimmering like a rainbow. Inside the pyramid floated the most beautiful pool Lily had ever seen—water so clear it looked like liquid glass, with tiny stars swimming beneath its surface.

"Welcome, young adventurer," said a kind voice. An old woman appeared beside the pyramid. Her silver hair flowed like water, and her eyes twinkled like the stars in the pool. "I am Marina, keeper of the Wonder Pool."

"It's magical," Lily breathed.

"This pool shows you what matters most," Marina explained gently. "But you must share its magic with others. Wonder is not meant to be kept alone."

Lily thought of her little brother Max, who was afraid to try new things. She thought of her friend Sam, who felt lonely because he thought nobody noticed his beautiful drawings.

"May I bring them?" Lily asked.

Marina smiled. "That is exactly why the cable chose you."

The next day, Lily returned with Max and Sam. When they looked into the pyramid's pool, Max saw himself bravely climbing mountains. Sam saw his paintings bringing joy to everyone in town. And Lily saw herself—a bridge builder, connecting friends to their dreams.

They visited often, always bringing someone new. The cable carried them up, the pyramid showed them their gifts, and the pool reflected the magic inside every heart.
