The Magic Pool's Secret

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's garden, especially the secret corner behind the old **palm** tree. Its leaves whispered secrets in the wind, and Lily always stopped to listen.

One hot afternoon, she discovered something magical – a shimmering blue **pool** had appeared beneath the palm fronds. The water sparkled like liquid diamonds.

"Hello!" called a voice. Lily jumped. From behind a bush peeked a boy with messy brown hair and the biggest smile she'd ever seen. "I'm Oliver. Want to see something amazing?"

Lily nodded. She'd found a new **friend**.

Oliver pointed at three droopy sunflowers near the pool's edge. "These are the **zombie** flowers!"

"Zombie flowers?" Lily giggled. "That sounds spooky!"

"Not scary zombie," Oliver explained. "They just look asleep, like zombies. But watch this!" He pulled fresh green leaves from his pocket – **spinach** leaves from his mother's garden.

He placed the spinach around each flower's base. The water in the magic pool began to glow. Sparkles floated up like tiny stars and settled on the leaves.

Suddenly, the zombie flowers straightened up! Their golden petals opened wide, and they swayed happily, as if dancing.

"The magic pool makes the spinach extra powerful," Oliver said. "Grandma says it teaches us something important."

"What?" Lily asked, watching the dancing flowers.

"Things might look dead or scary sometimes, but they just need a little help to wake up. And even ordinary things – like spinach – can be magical in the right place."

Lily grinned. She'd learned two things today: zombie flowers make wonderful friends, and magic hides everywhere, especially in gardens with palm trees and spinach.

"Come back tomorrow," Oliver said. "The zombie tomatoes need help too!"

Lily couldn't wait.
