The Magic Pool Party

Lily loved the summer more than anything in the world. Every morning, she would go running down the stairs and out to the backyard where her family had the most wonderful thing – a bright blue swimming pool!

One hot afternoon, Lily put on her favorite pink swimsuit and jumped right into the cool, sparkling water. She loved how the water felt like magic wrapping around her, making her feel light as a feather. She could swim like a mermaid, float like a cloud, and dive like a dolphin!

Her best friend Tommy came over, and they played their favorite game – Zombie Tag. Tommy was the pool zombie, walking slowly with his arms stretched out, making silly zombie sounds. 'Braaaainssss... I mean... snacksss!' he moaned, trying not to giggle.

Lily swam away fast, splashing and laughing. The zombie Tommy was slow in the water, and Lily was quick as a fish. She dove underwater and popped up right behind him, shouting, 'You're it now, Zombie Tommy!'

They played until the sun started to set, turning the sky orange and purple. Lily's mom called them for dinner, and both hungry swimmers got out of the pool, wrapping themselves in warm towels.

'That was the best zombie game ever!' Tommy said, his eyes shining.

Lily smiled, knowing that tomorrow would bring another day of running, swimming, and wonderful adventures with her best friend. Some zombies were scary, but her zombie friend was the most fun playmate in the whole world.
