The Magic Pool Party
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house in the summer. The best part was the old swimming pool in the backyard—but this wasn't just any pool. Lily had discovered its secret last summer.
One hot afternoon, Lily put on her favorite straw hat with the pink ribbon. Grandma called from the kitchen, "Lily! Come taste this delicious papaya I bought at the market!"
Lily ran inside, where Grandma sliced open the orange fruit. Its sweet smell filled the room. "Mmm!" Lily said, taking a big bite. "This is the best papaya ever!"
"Take some to the pool," Grandma smiled. "But be careful—the magic only works when you share."
Lily grabbed the bowl of papaya slices and hurried outside. She reached the pool's edge and called out, "Marco! Polo! Are you there?"
Bubbles rose to the surface. Splash! A friendly blue dragon popped out of the water. His scales sparkled like sapphires in the sunlight.
"Lily!" Marco cheered. "You're back!"
Marco was the pool's magical guardian, and only Lily could see him. She sat at the pool's edge and offered him a piece of papaya. "Want some?"
Marco's eyes lit up. "Nobody ever shares with me!" He gobbled it up. "It's wonderful!"
Suddenly, the pool water began to glow. "Thank you, Lily," Marco said. "Because you shared, I can show you something special."
He splashed his tail, and beautiful rainbow fish appeared. They danced through the water, creating patterns of light. Lily watched in wonder as her hat flew off her head and began to float around the pool like a little boat.
"Catch it!" Marco laughed.
Lily and Marco played until sunset, sharing papaya and making magical memories. When Grandma called her for dinner, Marco promised, "Come back tomorrow!"
That night, Lily fell asleep with a smile. She had learned something wonderful: the best adventures are the ones you share with friends—and sometimes, magic is just a kind heart away.
