The Magic Pool of Wishes
Lily loved brushing her long brown hair every morning. She counted each stroke—one, two, three—just like her grandmother taught her. But today was special. Today, she was exploring the backyard alone.
She discovered a hidden corner behind the old oak tree, where a mysterious blue pool sparkled like a million stars. The water wasn't deep, just right for sitting and splashing. But what made it magical was what floated inside.
A tiny pyramid made of golden leaves drifted on the surface. Inside it lived a little friend—a shimmering water sprite named Pip, who was no bigger than Lily's thumb.
"Hello!" Pip squeaked, waving from inside the pyramid. "I've been waiting for someone with such beautiful hair to help me!"
Lily knelt beside the pool. "Help you?"
"My home pyramid is sinking!" Pip explained. "The magic palm tree that holds it together lost its magic because someone stopped believing in dreams. Will you help me?"
Lily's heart raced with adventure. "What should I do?"
"You must share your dreams," Pip said. "The magic feeds on imagination!"
Lily closed her eyes and whispered her biggest wish: to fly among the stars. The pool glowed brighter. A tiny palm tree made of crystal emerged from the water, and its magic spread through the pyramid, making it strong again.
"Thank you, my new friend!" Pip danced joyfully. "Because you believed in magic, our friendship will last forever. Whenever you visit, bring a new dream!"
That night, Lily's hair sparkled with tiny crystals from the magic pool. She learned that believing in dreams—your own and others'—creates the strongest magic of all.
