The Magic Pool of Wishes
Lily loved visiting her grandmother's house, especially the mysterious **pool** hidden behind the garden. Her grandmother called it the Wishing **Pool**, though Lily had never made a wish there before.
One hot afternoon, Lily sat by the water's edge, dipping her toes in the cool blue water. Tall **palm** trees swayed gently around her, their fronds whispering secrets in the breeze. Suddenly, something sparkled beneath the surface.
She reached in and pulled out a small crystal shaped like a tiny **pyramid**. It pulsed with rainbow light!
"That's a Friendship Crystal," said a voice behind her. Lily turned to see a boy her age, watching her with curious eyes. "I'm Sam. We were supposed to be **friends**."
"How did you know?" Lily asked, amazed.
Sam pointed to the crystal. "The pyramid glows when it finds its keeper. My grandmother gave me one too. Look!" He pulled an identical crystal from his pocket.
Together, they discovered something magical. When they held their pyramids close to the **pool**, the water began to shimmer and swirl, forming pictures in its depths—ancient temples, flying creatures, and distant lands.
"It shows us what we imagine!" Lily exclaimed.
Sam smiled. "Want to see something really cool?" He held his crystal toward the water and thought hard about his favorite place. The pool transformed into an underwater kingdom!
But then, Lily's mother called from the house. "Lily, time for dinner! Put away your **iphone** and come inside!"
Lily sighed. Technology was okay, but this magic was better.
"Come back tomorrow," Sam said. "We have so many adventures ahead."
As Lily ran inside, she realized something important. Real magic wasn't in screens or gadgets. It was in imagination, friendship, and the unexpected wonders waiting to be discovered—sometimes right in your own backyard.
That night, Lily made her first real wish at the Wishing Pool before bed: that every child could find their own magic, and a true friend to share it with.
