The Magic Pool of Stars

Lily loved running through the meadow behind her house, her golden retriever Sunny bounding joyfully beside her. Every afternoon, they'd race through tall grass that tickled their knees, Sunny's ears flapping like wings in the wind.

One Tuesday, something magical happened. While chasing a particularly beautiful butterfly, Lily stumbled upon a hidden pool she'd never seen before. It wasn't just any pool — the water sparkled like someone had dissolved a thousand stars into liquid blue.

Sunny approached the pool cautiously, then dipped his nose in. The water didn't splash. Instead, it glowed brighter!

"What is this?" Lily whispered.

An old woman with silver hair appeared from behind an oak tree. "This is the Vitamin Pool," she said with a twinkle in her eye. "One sip gives you the vitamin of kindness. Two sips, the vitamin of courage. Three sips... well, that's the most powerful one of all."

Lily's eyes widened. She'd learned about vitamins in school, but never magic ones!

The old woman continued, "But there's a rule. You must never drink from it for yourself. These magic vitamins only work when you give them away to others."

Lily thought about the new boy at school, Leo, who sat alone at lunch. She thought about her neighbor Mrs. Chen, whose hands ached too much to garden anymore.

"May I try?" Lily asked.

The old woman nodded.

Lily cupped her hands and took three small sips, then hurried home with Sunny trotting happily beside her.

The next day, something amazing happened. When Lily sat with Leo at lunch, she felt warm inside — the vitamin of kindness! When she helped Mrs. Chen plant flowers, her hands felt strong — the vitamin of courage!

But the third sip surprised her most. When she shared her snack with a hungry stray dog, she saw something magical: the Vitamin Pool appeared right there in a puddle, glowing just for her.

Now Lily returns often with Sunny, collecting magic vitamins to share. Because she discovered something wonderful: the best kind of magic isn't the kind you keep — it's the kind you give away.
