The Magic Pool of Bravery

Molly was the shyest girl in her class. Her brown hair always fell over her face like a curtain, hiding her from the world. Every morning, her mom gave her a vitamin and said, "This will make you strong and healthy." But Molly didn't feel strong—she felt scared.

One afternoon, Molly was walking through the woods behind her house when she discovered something magical. Hidden among the trees was a shimmering pool, its water sparkling like liquid diamonds in the sunlight. The pool had a sign: "The Magic Pool of Special Vitamins."

Curious, Molly stepped closer. Tiny glowing orbs floated on the water's surface—red for courage, yellow for kindness, blue for friendship. They looked like magical vitamins!

A small splash made Molly jump. A friendly splash! From the pool emerged a tiny water fairy with rainbow-colored hair and wings like a dragonfly. "Hello, Molly!" the fairy said. "I've been waiting for you."

"You have?" Molly whispered, her hair still hiding her face.

"Yes! Every child needs their own special vitamin," the fairy explained. "Which one do you need most?"

Molly thought about the new boy at school, Ethan, who sat alone at lunch. She wanted to invite him to sit with her, but she was too nervous.

"I need the red one—for bravery," Molly said softly.

The fairy plucked a glowing red vitamin from the pool and placed it in Molly's palm. "This is different from ordinary vitamins. You don't swallow it. You hold it when you need courage."

The next day at school, Molly saw Ethan eating lunch alone, his sandy hair falling over his eyes. Her heart raced. She reached into her pocket and touched the magical vitamin. Warmth spread through her fingers, up her arm, and into her heart.

She took a deep breath and walked toward Ethan. "Hi, I'm Molly. Would you like to sit with me and my friends?"

Ethan's face lit up. "Yes! I was hoping someone would talk to me."

They became best friends. Molly learned that she didn't need magic to be brave—she just needed to be kind. Sometimes, she and Ethan visited the magic pool together, collecting friendship vitamins for other kids who needed them.

And sometimes, just sometimes, Molly's brown hair sparkled with tiny red glitter when she helped someone find their own courage.
