The Magic Pool Mystery

iphonepoolpalmzombie

Lily found the old iPhone buried under her grandmother's palm tree. It sparkled like a piece of fallen star. When she pressed the screen, it didn't show apps or games—it showed a secret map.

"The old swimming pool," Lily whispered, following the glowing path through her backyard. The pool hadn't been used in years, but today its water shimmered with rainbow colors.

Something bubbled up from the depths. Lily held her breath. Were they... zombies? But not scary ones—tiny, friendly creatures with bright green skin and flower crowns. They waved webby hands and grinned.

"Welcome!" said the smallest zombie, whose name turned out to be Zippy. "We've been waiting for someone to find us!"

The pool was magic—it was a portal to their world. Every sunset, when palm leaves cast dancing shadows, the pool became a doorway. The zombies weren't dead at all—they were magical guardians who protected the portal from grumpy grown-ups who'd forgotten how to believe.

Lily visited every day. She learned that Zippy loved making daisy chains, and his friend Bella could blow bubbles that tasted like cotton candy. They showed her their world through the magic iPhone, which wasn't really a phone—it was a key shaped like one.

"But why does it look like a phone?" Lily asked.

Bella giggled. "Because magic hides in plain sight! Grown-ups ignore old phones, so they never discover our secret."

One day, Lily's grandmother saw them playing. Instead of being scared, she smiled. "I knew you'd find them someday," she said. "I met them when I was your age, under this same palm tree."

That night, Lily learned the most important lesson: magic never disappears—it just waits for the right heart to find it. And sometimes, the most wonderful friends are the ones you least expect to meet, in the most surprising places, right in your own backyard.
