The Magic Pool in the Palm
Lily was running through the garden, her bare feet padding softly on the warm grass. She was playing hide and seek with her favorite teddy bear, Mr. Fluffles. But Mr. Fluffles was nowhere to be found.
"Mr. Fluffles!" she called out, spinning in circles. The sun was setting, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange.
Suddenly, something magical happened. In the center of her palm, where she had been holding a small marble earlier, a tiny sparkle appeared. The sparkle grew brighter and brighter until it formed a miniature pool of shimmering blue water, right there in her hand!
"How is this possible?" Lily whispered, her eyes wide with wonder.
The tiny pool rippled, and a small creature surfaced — it was a tiny bear, no bigger than her thumb, made entirely of starlight and dreams. The little bear waved its paw at her.
"Hello!" said the tiny bear in a voice like wind chimes. "I'm Bertram, and I live in the Magic Pool that appears only to children with kind hearts."
Lily gasped. "Can you help me find Mr. Fluffles?"
Bertram nodded. "Close your eyes and make a wish. But remember — true friends never truly leave you."
Lily closed her eyes tight and wished with all her heart. When she opened them, the tiny pool in her palm showed a reflection of Mr. Fluffles, sitting safely on her bed where she'd left him that morning.
"He was never lost," Bertram said kindly. "Sometimes we just need to look with our hearts."
The magic pool faded, but Bertram left something behind — a tiny silver bear charm on a chain. "Whenever you feel lonely, just hold this charm and remember: friendship is the strongest magic of all."
Lily ran inside and hugged Mr. Fluffles tight. From that day on, she never felt lonely, because she knew that magic and friendship were always with her, right in the palm of her hand.
