The Magic Pool in the Garden
Lily loved exploring her grandmother's garden, especially the hidden corner behind the tall roses. There, she discovered something magical—a small pool with water that sparkled like liquid diamonds.
One hot afternoon, Lily sat by the pool watching dragonflies dance. Her iphone slipped from her pocket and plunked into the water. But instead of sinking, it floated—glowing with rainbow colors!
A tiny head popped up. It was Marina, a water sprite with silver hair and eyes like pearls.
"Your device woke up the pool!" Marina giggled. "It's been sleeping for one hundred years!"
She offered Lily a blue drop from a crystal vial. "This is no ordinary vitamin. It's a drop of ocean magic—one sip and you can swim underwater without breathing!"
Lily's grandmother had given her a rope from the old garden shed. Now, as she held the cable, it began to glow and stretch, weaving itself into a beautiful rainbow bridge that reached across the water.
"Come swimming with me!" Marina called.
Lily's heart raced. She'd never been brave like this before. But she trusted Marina's friendly smile. She swallowed the magic drop, took a deep breath, and slipped into the pool.
Suddenly, she could breathe! She was swimming through coral castles and fish that sang like bells. Marina showed her treasure chests filled with real pearls and taught her to dance with sea turtles.
"True friendship," Marina whispered, "is the greatest treasure of all."
When Lily emerged, her iphone was dry and working perfectly. The rainbow bridge faded back into an ordinary cable. But Lily knew something had changed forever.
That summer, Lily visited the pool every day. She learned that magic exists everywhere—if you're brave enough to look for it, and kind enough to treasure the friends who help you find it.
