The Magic Pool in My Palm
Leo loved running around the swimming pool in his backyard, especially when the moon made the water sparkle like diamonds. But tonight, something magical happened.
His grandmother had given him her old iphone before she moved far away. "Keep it safe, my little star," she'd whispered, kissing his palm.
That night, Leo sat by the pool, trailing his fingers in the cool water. The iphone, usually dark and silent, suddenly began to glow—softly, like a firefly.
Curious, Leo picked it up. The screen showed not apps or games, but shimmering ripples, just like the pool before him. Without thinking, he pressed his palm against the warm screen.
WHOOSH!
The pool water began to swirl upward, forming a beautiful fountain of light. Tiny creatures with wings like butterflies emerged, dancing around Leo's head.
"We're the Pool Sprites!" chimed a tiny blue creature. "And you've awakened us with your grandmother's magic!"
"My grandmother?" Leo gasped.
"She was our Guardian!" The sprite did a happy spin. "Every full moon, she'd run around the pool three times, holding the magic phone in her palm, and we'd come out to play. But she had to leave, and the magic slept... until you!"
Leo's heart swelled. His grandmother wasn't just gone—she'd left him something special.
"Show me how!" Leo cried.
He began running around the pool, clutching the glowing iphone in his palm. One circle, two circles, three... The pool erupted with rainbow-colored sprites! They tickled his nose, braided his hair with moonlight, and told him stories of adventures.
"We'll always be here," the blue sprite promised as the sun began to peek over the horizon. "Whenever you miss her, just remember—magic runs in your family. And in your palm."
That morning, Leo fell asleep with a smile. The iphone looked ordinary again, but Leo knew better. Some treasures are worth more than appearances suggest. And the best magic? It's the kind that connects hearts, no matter how far apart they are.
