The Magic Pool Guardians
Lily and Max were playing in their backyard on a hot summer day when Lily's iPhone slipped from her pocket and fell right into the swimming pool with a splash. "Oh no!" cried Lily, peering into the blue water. The phone settled at the bottom, its screen glowing faintly. "We need to get that!" said Max, grabbing a long, curly cable from the garage. Maybe they could fish it out. But when the cable touched the water, something amazing happened. The water began to shimmer and sparkle like tiny stars. Bubbles rose from the bottom, and three greenish faces popped up! They looked a bit like zombies from storybooks, but they were smiling. "We are the Pool Guardians," said one in a gurgly voice. "Your iPhone woke us from our hundred-year sleep!" Lily gasped. The guardians weren't scary at all—they were magical protectors who kept the water safe and clean for children to play. The smallest guardian swam down and returned the iPhone, now dry and working perfectly. "Thank you for waking us," said the tallest guardian. "We'd like to give you something special." He reached into the water and pulled out a beautiful silver coin. "Whenever you need help, just drop this into any pool. We'll come." From that day on, Lily and Max knew that magic existed in the most unexpected places—even in zombie guardians at the bottom of a pool, awakened by a fallen iPhone. And they learned that sometimes, what seems scary at first might turn out to be a wonderful friend. The cable stayed wrapped around the pool's fence, a reminder of the day they discovered magic right in their own backyard.
